We purchased this item to help control the barking of the two dogs next door. There is a wood fence between the houses, however; it is not completely solid. The bird house does stop the barks after 3-5 barks. There has been no extended barking sprees since we installed this item.

I have had the Bark Control only 4 days but it seems to work well. My dogs do not bark as much as before and I know for a fact that the pit bull behind me dislikes it a great deal. This is a very unsocialable dog who barks at the top of his lungs and charges the gate at full speed. I held the Bark Control in my hands, set it on High Sensitivity, and directed the device directly at him from 15 feet. He barked four times and retreated to the opposite side of his yard and will not approach me when I hold the device. I am aware that the device is not actually intended for this type of control but it surely demonstrated the capability of the device.
As for my dogs, I believe they will be trained to control their barking in a couple of weeks. My neighbor is impressed enough that he will buy one of the devices.

Well-built! It reduces barking duration - but doesn't eliminate barking. And the owner thinks that her pet is behaving better! Its ultrasonic output should be very irritating initially, and its duration should increase if the barking persists. And it needs an external 12V input.

At first I thought that this was the solution to my dog's very bad barking problem. Deer, possums, and foxes come into the rear of my property and the dog feels it his duty to drive them away with hysterical barking punctuated with with fierce growling. I installed the device and was rewarded the first night with silence. The same with the second. Later in the week, it seemed as if she barked at low volume so as not to activate the tone. Now, however, she has decided that duty is is a higher obligation than seeing to her personal comfort. We are back where we were. Maybe I need three or four of the devices.
