This is the best bread knife we've ever owned. The Victorinox cuts the softest bread, tomato or sandwich with ease, without collapsing or squishing. It is also very good for all kinds of meat and cold cuts. We highly recommend it. This the second Victorinox bread knife we owned. The first was also very good, but is no longer made. We owned it almost 20 yrs before the serrations disapeared due to sharping.

This is the best knife I own.....In fact, I would like to get a similar one in a little smaller size if available.

Exceptional knife. I got it because Cook's Illustrated recommended it and I'm so very happy with it.

This knife was everything I was told it would be: well-made, sharp, and at a price that is very reasonable. This knife cuts through the crunchiest crust with absolute ease and it handles featherweight breads without squishing the crumb. It's length also allows you to cut easily through even the largest of artisan-style loaves. It is also great for tomatoes. This knife is a steal even if it would cost 2-3x what it already sells for.
