I wanted to get a "sun lamp" type alarm clock and this works fine.
Pros:
1. Remote lamp that slowly turns brighter over a 15 or 30 minute period.
2. Use your own lamp (up to 250 watt.)
3. Cool nature sounds.
4. Much cheaper than sun alarm lamps that have the light built in.
5. Excellent customer service from your site.
Cons:
1. Display is bright blue. Even on dimmest setting it is very bright. I think blue must be the "in" color now. With the lights out the corner of the room that has the clock glows. I find red much easier to see in the dark.
2. If you have the volume control turned up a little you will hear rf interference when the clock turns on the lamp. beepbeepbeepbeep! Annoying. So, I just use the lamp function now with the volume turned all the way down.
