The tree straps are sturdy and have been great for holding our hammock (even with wiggly children in it). I had to move them two or three times to get the height right, so I was glad to not have to screw hooks into our trees that many times. It is helpful if you can wrap them above a branch or large knot in the tree trunk to prevent slipping.
