The Walk About XL was ordered as a gift for my father as an encouragement to walk to better his health. I found the cane to be exactly what I was looking for, a no frills, sturdy walking stick. It is simple yet elegant with a large handle that fits my father's hand perfectly. The feeling and movement in his right hand has been effected by a stroke so the heft of the handle and cane make a big difference. The finish was clean and attractive giving the appearance of a nicely carved Louisville Slugger. I can sum up this review with my father's comment to me upon opening the package, "This is beautiful!" He tells me that he is tearing up the sidewalks now with Walk About XL in hand. A first rate produc!!

I bought a second one of these as a gift I like the first one so much. It makes a great walking stick. I found you can buy rubber cane tips at the drug store that slip right on the end to work well on smooth surfaces like concrete. Great walking stick!
