I purchased this for my dog's XL Dogloo Igloo to keep him warm in the severe winter cold we have in Wisconsin. I had to take the top off the Dogloo and this pet mat fits perfectly inside this size Igloo (XL). It is now 3F outside and the floor of his doghouse is nice and warm. I put a thick quilt on top of the pet mat because it stays warm as long as the unit is plugged in and my dog doesn't like it that warm since he has a thick fur coat. The Pet Mat is the best unit I could find (in my opinion) that is always on and can warm the floor of such a large doghouse. It is built very well with a chew resistant metal coil around the entire power cord. If you need something to keep your floor warm for your pet then this is the best you can get without spending hundreds.
