I have been cleaning my own carpets for about 25 years with everything from the old “hook up to the sink, the old version of an all-in-one carpet cleaner. I have also taken the expensive step of once or twice a year clearing the room and calling in a professional to “do it right”, not any more. The Hoover F7452-900 SteamVac All Terrain Carpet Extractor/Floor Cleaner is absolutely head and shoulders above everything I have ever used! I learned years ago that the best professionals pre-spray the entire carpet with soap first, and then extract with clean hot water, indeed my previous attempts gave me better results and longer lasting clean using this method. However this Hoover SteamVac model automatically incorporates this method by pulling the trigger on the forward and reverse stroke. Hoover finally figured out that if you lay down the soap in the forward stroke, and extract it in the reverse (pull back) stroke combined with brushes that really work, you will get a clean at least as good as the professionals give you. They even give you a switch on the handle to rinse only if you find you have too much soap, or you use a pre-treater on a problem. About a week ago I used it for the first time on my cloth car seats and carpet using the small upholstery nozzle. Again the results were better than expected, even though I quickly abandoned the rotating brush upholstery nozzle because it was too hard to control on the intricate car seats and carpets. At no time did I feel that I soaked the carpet or seats and I achieved a very clean result. I cannot say enough about how happy I am with the Hoover F7452-900 SteamVac All Terrain Carpet Extractor/Floor Cleaner. It cleans better and faster, and is easier to use than anything I have ever tried before, and I recommend it very highly.

I have been looking for a carpet cleaner for a while. I really wanted one that would take the dirty water out of the carpet. I found and bought the Hoover cleaner and it is fabulous. It cleans well and takes all the dirty water out of the carpet and rinses it as well. I would recommend this product.
