How It Works:
A radio signal is sent by the transmitter to a receiver on your dog's collar. The signal is transmitted through a wire which is placed along the boundaries you want to establish. The wire is really an antenna that carries the signal. You can adjust the signal to up to 15 feet from the wire. In most cases, a 4-6 foot signal field will be the best for optimal training. The receiver provides a warning beep as your dog approaches the wire. If he starts to cross the wire, he will receive a mild correction. Although the correction is harmless, it will dissuade him from continuing.
When using the remote, the fence transmitter floods the area inside the boundary wire with the signal and this activates the receiver. All receivers within the boundary will activate when the remote is used. If you have more than one dog, you may want to remove the receiver from the other dogs so they do not get a correction.
